She maketh fine linen. And selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto they merchant.

What services do you have to offer? There are many opportunities in today’s age. I feel God has given each and every one of us some ability. Sometimes it might take time to discover your skills. If you have not been fortunate enough to go to college, there are still many trade schools you can choose from. In choosing your career, make sure you pick a service that is needed. Never take your business for granted. I was a hairstylist for years. No matter how early my clients wanted to come to the hair salon, I always gave them their appointments. I worked a lot of late hours. I offered a variety of services. My clients had confidence in all my services. As a result, I was very popular. It’s been years since I retired from that field. From time to time, I would run into some of my clients. They would be so happy to see me, and the next words out of their mouth were the following: “Where is your shop?” With deep regrets, I always tell them that I have moved onto another career. Of course, they immediately want to know what it is. When I tell them child care, they become equally excited. They then tell me that their daughters are looking for a school for their children. I am fortune to serve both generations. You see, it is important to provide good service, because your clients will still support you even if you move to another career.

The career I have now can be a little challenging, because in many cases, I don’t only have to take care of the children. I also have to minister to the parents as well. It’s hard to care for the children in my center and not concern myself with the parents. Sometimes the parents are not able to provide food and clothing for their children. As part of my ministry, we are able to provide for them. As you can see, this woman in the scripture was wise enough to observe what was needed and she provided it. What services are needed in your area? Here are a few suggestions: If you are a good cook, make a dish to see if home-cooked food is needed or wanted. In my house, my husband cooks barbecue on Saturdays. Folks come near and far to support him. I might be a little bias, but he has the best barbeque in town. When I had a cleaning service in my early years, I would clean professional offices after everyone had gone home. It was quite lucrative.

But that was only an avenue I explored to get to where I am now. The list could go on and on. There are countless services that one can discover.
